Born from Resilience, Driven by Expertise
In July 2020, during one of the most uncertain moments in travel history, Moani Baumfalk took a leap of faith and launched Nova Vacations as a solo startup. Fueled by a passion for crafting highly customized itineraries, that single-person venture quickly evolved into a thriving boutique luxury agency serving hundreds of discerning clients annually.
Empowering the Next Generation of Travel Advisors
As the agency expanded, Ben, Moani's husband, began supporting its technology and administrative needs. Together, Moani and Ben recognized a critical challenge in the industry: a lack of structured mentorship and infrastructure for aspiring travel advisors. To bridge this gap, they launched LUMA Travel Lab in 2025. Leveraging his technical background, Ben custom-built the company's foundational technology, including the LUMA Advisor Portal, a comprehensive training platform, and a proprietary AI assistant, LUMi AI.
